Thunderbird Virtual Airline (VA) was founded in July 2025.

§1 ABOUT US

§1.1 The Thunderbird VA is a VIRTUAL AIRLINE, so not commercial.

§2 Membership & Registration

§2.1 Everyone must provide their real name (first name) and a valid email address. This name will be publicly displayed, even to non-members of the airline.

§2.2 The minimum age for us is 16. An exception is possible: this is one month before reaching the 16th birthday.

§2.3 If non-compliance is suspected, an ID check can only be requested by the CEO and not by any other staff member. This data will be deleted after a successful verification. If the suspicion is confirmed, the user will be asked to change their data within 7 days. Otherwise, the account will be deleted.

§3 Behavior & Tone

§3.1 Insults, hate, right-wing extremist, or racist behavior will not be tolerated. So please be kind to one another.

§3.2 Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, witch hunts, sexism, racism, or hate speech will not be tolerated at all.

§3.3 Failure to comply will result in a warning. If repeated warnings are issued, the account may be deleted.

§4 Flight Operations & ACARS

§4.1 All flights are recorded via vaBase's ACARS system and displayed on the website.

§4.2 You can fly offline and on all networks.

§4.3 If you fly on a network, the network rules also apply.

§5 Requirements as an Active Pilot

  1. Minimum age of 16 years (see §2.2)
  2. One flight at least every 183 days, i.e. every 6 months
  3. Compliance with these rules
  4. Interested in virtual flying
  5. Cancellation can be submitted at any time via email or Discord
  6. You will be informed about rule changes on our website and via Discord, but please also pay attention to rule changes yourself.
